memory

by. rsj

there’s a version of me

in my mind, in yours

a version of you

in your mind, in mine

a captured instance

a look, a word, a conversation, a moment

fleeting in mine

but lasting in yours

life changing for me

but barely recallable in yours

even the same story

told by me, then by you

the content is alike

but the lighting, the angle

everyone carries a snippet of recollection

remember what happened?
