when i am down and despairing

hot tears silently streaming

through a hollow log of loneliness

forming a pond of sorrow and hopelessness

rivers rise in my eyes

recede and rise again

impeding my vision

what am i looking forward to.. then

i wilt into Your hands

trusting that You'll lift me up

and breathe life into me once again

because You are my God

there is no other way
